He aimed for the gold in Athens 2004 Olympic games but won bronze in Greco-Roman. He had made a promise to himself to win the gold in his own country and got his promised delivered. On Day5 at Athens 2015 Veteran World Wrestling Championships, he wrestled hard for it and he got it. Greek wrestler, Artiom Kiouregkian is the new World Veteran champion at A 58kg.

 

The 39year old wrestler didn’t give any chance to his opponent to claim the match. He won easily, 3-0, Munk Kim Hold of Sweden. The crowd was in his favor, the stands were full and everyone was giving him the necessary push in order to achieve his goal. «I had promised it to myself and I wouldn’t take anything less. I wrestled today for every young athlete out there, to show them that they ought to keep on fighting and never give up. This medal is for every Greek person who struggles on a daily base. This is for Greece. I am so honored to be here and get so much love from my fellow countrymen and women» said, with the Greek flag in his hands.
He truly deserved it.
